BLOODSTONE opens a bit later, in June, because that's when the peonies bloom here. I use them when introducing my father and daughter characters Tolbert and Mirianna. Spring changes also figure in the introduction to the no-man's land, the Wehrland. The cracking of stone and earth that occurs in the mountain highlands during the change of season is the basis for the legend of the Last Dragon. And, of course, the magical bloodstone--petrified dragon's blood.
