Why Do I Have a Photo of Construction Equipment on My Page?

Because this big CAT and others like it have been my constant companions since mid-May when street reconstruction started on my doorstep, literally.

In addition to COVID concerns causing stress levels to rise, we've had 12-hour days of construction noise: incessant back-up beeping, thumping, shaking, engine noise, etc. When the roller worked to level the gravel and rocks, our house shook as if it were a ship starting powerful engines.

That's the end of my driveway you see buried under six feet of soil. We haven't been able to access it with our car for a month. That means lugging groceries from around the block and across neighbors' back yards. Fortunately the weather has been mostly good.

This week we've progressed to curb and gutter, so maybe...just maybe the end is in sight.

Now if we could just see the back of this COVID virus, we'd all be a lot happier. Stay safe and healthy, everyone!
